Day 331

Here's Sunday's post:

Grandma & Grandpa Rodriguez left our house today... :/ We had them for four days, and really enjoyed our time together. But, before they left, we did a few things they can't enjoy in Michigan: went to the beach (sunny Sunday!) and (yesterday) had In N' Out burgers. :) Penelope really enjoyed playing with her grandparents, and getting reacquainted. We'll miss them lots. :/ 

Oh! Penelope got a play kitchen from her grandparents-- she loves it!! Here's a few pics from our day.

Day 330

Penelope had a fun day today-- she's loving playing with her grandparents, and is behaving so well, but that's how she is. :) Today Mama & Grandma Rose did some Christmas shopping for Penelope. Mana have her a Children's Orchard gift card, I chose some cute clothes, and Mana will wrap them up for her to open! :) Later, Mana came over to say hi to my parents and P got to have a short visit with her. Penelope is having lots of fun with all the love she's getting, lots of laughing and playing, and I know she'll miss them when they leave! :/ 

We are having good days, but are missing Daddy who will be home Sunday. Anyway, here's a pic of our cutie pie, she wanted to lie in baby sister's basket! Night!

Day 329

Ah, what a fun day! We started off with a big batch of Daddy's chocolate chip pancakes (and blueberry, but come on, chocolate!!). After P's nap, we all went to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch and to play-- they have a big arcade-like area, and Chuck E. Cheese also makes a real appearance! We had a blast, even Daddy had fun, and he was sure he wouldn't. ;)

We are enjoying having Grandma & Grandpa in town, especially Penelope. They are just having the best time playing together. :) We're going to miss them!! We'll have to plan a trip to see them sometime in the future (meaning, when we're brave enough to fly with kids, again). After Mom made us dinner, we did some holiday baking, and just hung out while Daddy was at school-- his last class of the semester, woohoo! :)

Day 328

Penelope had a wonderful day with her grandparents-- my Mommy & Daddy, who are visiting from Michigan and staying with us for a few days. She warmed right up to them, which was nice, they just loved playing with her and seeing how she's grown up. We all went to the mall-- Mama did a little Christmas shopping & my parents and Penelope played at the indoor playground there, she had a ball! Later, after dinner, we hung out together and played. Before bed P hugged us all goodnight... I'm so glad she is getting to spend some time with her grandparents!

Day 327

Penelope was a good girl today, considering she was indoors most of the day. Earlier, before her afternoon nap, she and Daddy went out on a few errands together. Daddy pup her Carseat  in his '87 truck and they had a good time in that go cart! ;) 

We've been preparing for my parents to come and stay a few days, and they'll be here tomorrow. Penelope is going to see her grandparents again, yay! They will die when they see how grown up she is-- I can't wait!!

Day 326

Well, I was way too tired to post last night. Newborn problems. :/

Penelope had a fun time at the park today. We walked over and she had fun on the slide (goes down all by herself!!), sea saw, and just ran all over the place! Mana surprised is by coming to the park (she was coming to our place, and was passing by anyway), so P had some fun playing with her. :)

Penelope tried something new and yummy for dinner tonight: fish cakes! Daddy made huge mess in the kitchen making them, along with some veggies. Mmmmm! Oh, and by the way, Penelope says that when she eats now. :) She copies everything we say and do now, it's really cute.

Day 325

Today Penelope watched her Daddy & I put up our Christmas tree. :) She wasn't very interested in the tree until the lights and ornaments were out-- then she wanted to touch and grab. Of course she did, she's a 1-year old, curious about everything now. I sometimes feel bad that we're saying "no" about everything, but that's how she learns, and today she learned pretty quickly not to mess with the ornaments! :) She's allowed to touch "gentle" like she does Luciana, and she seems okay with that. 

Our baby girl is growing up so fast, I know I say that all the time, but she is learning new things every day, and we just shake our heads in amazement. :)
