Day Seventy Three

Happy Easter everyone! Penelope and I spent it together since Daddy worked. We were planning on visiting him, but it just didn't work out. We were with my family in Rosemead, and that was nice. Mama ate ham, mashed potatoes, rolls and more, it was great to see family and have some fun. Penelope behaved well, and went into the arms of many aunts, cousins and friends without fuss. P received lots of nice things from Mana and my parents, and also Auntie Anita-- what a nice first Easter! Mama will have to write about it in her baby book. Anyway, I got her home early today- since I learned a lesson on Saturday, and she's fast asleep since 9! :)

What a kid. I love her more every day..... :) Tomorrow will be a day of rest around Casa Rindge, that's for sure!!! Thankful Daddy will be home with us.

Day Seventy Two

Today we enjoyed an early Easter lunch at Aunt Barbara's place in Beaumont. She just re-did her back yard, so we hung out outside all afternoon. Ribs, baked beans and summer slaw- yum! Penelope didn't nap pretty much at all the whole day and afternoon. She finally passed out in the car ride home (3ish), and was extremely difficult tonight (I suspect) because of her very busy day. I KNOW she won't get away without a nap all day again, it's too disruptive to her sleep at nighttime.

But, we did have a nice day, and got to visit with lots of nice people. We were hoping to enjoy Easter with my family tomorrow, but I'm just not sure if P will be up to it! We'll see... Hopefully we'll get a full nights sleep and wake refreshed and ready for a new adventure!

Day Seventy One

What a day! We began with an idea (Daddy's idea) to ride bikes down to Newport Beach to have some breakfast. After a few hours of lots of effort, we made it, and had some good food. Penelope screamed as much as she wanted to, and the place was so noisy, nobody noticed or seemed to care! On our way home, Penelope exploded in her little pants and we had to change her in a park... Poor baby!!! :( Good thing Mamas prepared!

Later at home, we dyed Easter eggs-- that was fun. :) Tomorrow we have plans for Easter lunch with family-- lets hope Penelope behaves!

Day Seventy

Wow, we made it seventy days and Mana hasn't gone nuts... I consider that an accomplishment!

Today was a Mana day, and she took P to two parks! Two! Lucky kid. After, we both napped, and woke up very groggy and (Penelope) a little grumpy. A lot of cuddling took place in between playing, practicing sitting up, eating, and yelling. P likes to yell, not Mama ;)

Day Sixty Nine

Today we had Daddy home, and he took Penelope on a walk to the park so that Mama could rest. (Good Daddy!) they had fun there, but she cried on the way home-- I think she was just tired & hungry. Can't blame her, I feel like crying when I'M tired & hungry too!! ;)

Penelope gets to go to the park again tomorrow with Mana, which makes it three days in a row. I know she likes riding in her stroller anywhere, so it's a good thing!

Also, P ate some more sweet potato & peach for lunch-- she is definitely enjoying eating, thankfully.

Day Sixty Eight

Today we had a visit from Grandma Rose-- she took Penelope to Fairview Park and they had fun. Penelope ate lots of sweet potato and peaches: YUM! She really seems to be enjoying food now, it's fun to watch. :)

It's now 8:30, P's bedtime-- wish us luck! Goodnight!

Day Sixty Seven

Today we: hung out in bed & (tried to) watch Celebrity Apprentice, went on a walk, and went to eat at The old Spaghetti Factory for Mana's birthday celebration. :) What a long day for us all... I don't have photos of US at the restaurant (there's one of the train inside-- Tom has some on his phone, I think), but it was an experience! Penelope basically had to be held and/or walked around the whole time. Mama felt bad for those who had to rush through their pasta or eat it cool :/. I'm thinking we'll choose when to take P out to a restaurant-- maybe only earlier in the day when she's in a better mood and not so tired. In any case, we had a great time, and was happy to celebrate with Mana, and visit with Holly, Lily and Grandaddy. I'm looking forward to Easter at Aunt Barbara's house, but am hoping Penelope behaves well! We'll see.....

Day Sixty Six

Today was Anabella's 2nd birthday, and we went to her party and had a really good day. It was at a park, and we lie on a blanket for most of the day, but went for a few walks around the large park and looked at the little pond there. P was happy today, and was very social, going from lap to lap happily.

Daddy comes home tomorrow, yay! We also have swimming class tomorrow, which should be fun.

Day Sixty Five

Well, Penelope survived her first evening/bedtime without Mommy or Daddy. :) Mana and Aunt Holly came over to sit with Penelope tonight while we went to a party. We heard that she cried a lot :/ but, I think it's a good start! We'll have to leave her from time to time, and I know with time she'll get more accustomed to being with either Grandma. We had a great time with other parents talking about our kids all night-- go figure!

I missed Penelope so much tonight, thank goodness we don't go out very often! Tomorrow we have Anabella's second birthday party to attend, so it should be a fun day!

I have to admit: I'm just waiting for the moment to hug my little girl again..... Goodnight!

Day Sixty Four

Penelope had a very good day today considering her LONG night last night. After falling asleep, finally, she slept for 6 hours, then ate. After that, another 3, ate and then 3 more. She sleeps in bits, but that's okay with us!

Day Sixty Three

Our little angel can sure be a little rat when it's bedtime!!! She fights it, sometimes, with all her might, and ends up way past bedtime. Mommy and Daddy get frustrated, and then we all collapse, exhausted. Well, apparently this is what it is to have a baby... Who has more than one?? Just kidding. She's awesome, but today had a tough time at bedtime.
We had Daddy home from his class early and we enjoyed the day together at home (and Costco-- turns out we needed more diapers: shocker!).

Goodnight.... Hoping P gets another 8 consecutive hours for the third night in a row! ;)

Day Sixty Two

Today Penelope and I went to LA to visit with Granny Rose & Anabella, who will be 2 years old on Sunday! We went to Color Me Mine so Bella could make her Mommy a gift for HER birthday, which is on April 1st. It was sweet to watch, and I even made something for Penelope to keep in her room. She was a good girl in the car, thankfully, and we managed to beat traffic! :) Penelope went to bed at 7:30 tonight-- we hope she sleeps through the night, fingers crossed! Oh! She slept a full 8 hours last night!!! From 9ish until 5:45- that's the most she's ever slept altogether. :)

Day Sixty One

Today we suffered because Penelope had a really rough night. She was up for hours in the middle of the night, just being miserable :(. I hate when I don't know what's wrong with her!!
Since she was playing catch up with sleep this morning, we missed the preschool tour with Mana. We ended up meeting her for lunch after P was rested. Yum :)
Daddy's at class and work today, so we're missing him. He'll be home tomorrow, and we can't wait to see him! Here's a cute pic of Daddy holding P in the Bjorn:

Day Sixty

Today Penelope took one really good nap, she gets a gold star!!! :) It really makes a huge difference in her mood when she's had proper sleep throughout the day. We've found that giving Penelope a nice, warm bath before bed (and maybe a little milk) helps her to relax and get to sleep easier. Look how sweet she looks at bath time... Eating her (clean, thanks to Daddy) feet!

Day Fifty Nine

Penelope didn't sleep very well last night, so today was a sleeeeepy day, and we got a late start. Since Daddy was home and he had a long night too, he napped while P & I ran a few errands. We took a long walk to the park, and enjoyed a nice, warm day. I found some cute overalls that were given to us that fit Penelope now, look how cute she looks!

Day Fifty Eight

Granny & Papa visited, P got her new sunhat in the mail & we cuddled -- good day ;)

Day Fifty Seven

Penelope and I went to Waterworks for "free swim", which isn't free. We only stayed a short time due to lots of grabby older kids, and because P was tired. She enjoyed it while we were there, though, and napped well after.

Daddy's at work today & tomorrow, so we're looking forward to a nice Sunday at home with him.

Penelope ate rice & peaches today, and liked it! She's "getting" it, and enjoying it more... We'll get a Baby Bullet soon and begin making her good organic foods.

Day Fifty Six

Today we rode down to the park (on bikes, with P in her trailer) and lay on a blanket for awhile enjoying the sun. We were originally beach bound, but the fog put the kibosh on that plan! We had lunch at a Mexican restaurant afterwards, and Mana came. Penelope screamed in the restaurant, it's just her new "thing", and we can't do a thing about it! :) Evening was spent cuddled on the couch watching a cheesy 80's movie. We'll miss Daddy tomorrow and Saturday... but maybe we'll see him sooner if we decide to visit L.A. ;)

Day Fifty Five

It was a Mana day, and Penelope enjoyed their time together again. They went on a walk, and then came home and played for a bit. Later, Penelope and I went to Toys R Us to get her some bigger onesies (I know, weird place to get them, but I had a coupon), a sippy cup and a big teether (see pic). I have a feeling teeth are riiiiiiight around the corner. :/ I'll be happy to see her sweet new smile, but we're not looking forward to her in pain! anyway, we tried the sippy cup, but I think P needs a week or two for that still. She is growing so fast, I can barely get used to what she's become before she changes again and is up to all new tricks! P has been babbling TONS, and loud, she enjoys screaming- imagine how fun that is after six or seven hours! ;) She's so sweet, I guess I'll tolerate it!

We have Daddy home tomorrow and if it's nice, we hope to spend the day at the beach on bikes. Please sun, come out!!!!!

Day Fifty Four

Today, Penelope had her second swim class, but this time Daddy took her in the water. She did so well kicking, floating with Daddy's help, and going under water (multiple times)! I plan on taking her there for play time during the week, she likes it so much. I think for $3 it's a deal, since we don't have to hear our pool! After class, Penelope was awake for a few hours, so she's taking a nice long nap now -- she's on her 3rd hour now, may be time to wake her!!! We are very proud of how well our baby is doing in swim class, and just in general.
