What a long, fun day we had! We took Penelope to her very first swim class at Waterworks Aquatics at 10:20 am. She had to wear double diapers and her new swim top. :) She did amazingly!!! Not only does she love the water, but she completed all the activities the older kids were: assisted floating on her back, kicking her legs as we held her, and didn't cry when we dunked her head under water. Daddy got to get in with her after she and I took the class, and they got to enjoy "free swim" time. We plan on taking her weekly and practicing at home in the bath and jacuzzi in between. Penelope needs to know how to float (as a baby) and swim (as an older child) since we have a pool. Plus, it's so much fun!
After swim class, we went to visit Grandaddy and had lunch at a cute little 50's style diner. And after that, we took a few family photos... Now, that's a LOT for a 4 1/2 month old baby!! She napped for 3 hours when we finally made it home. (She cat napped - 20 minutes here, 15 there - in between things during the day)
Ahh, we had a wonderful day, and now we're all tucked into bed.... Penelope isn't sleeping so well right now, though, an I think we have her 3 hour nap to blame. :/
We are looking forward to seeing both grandmas this week, and making a trip to the library as well.
