Day 206

Well folks, Summer is here again! We've had a cool spell recently, but boy, was it hot today!! Penelope and I got a late start to our day, what with a terrible night of sleep & then trying to catch up this morning. Well, then you throw in breakfast, shower for me, getting us both dressed and packed to leave-- well, it's afternoon by that time! I'm so lucky to have the luxury of time. Time to do things and pay enough attention where it matters, and be the best mom I can... I try!! :) the only drawback to having a hard-working husband is that he is away sometimes, but I think we make quality family time together and it is awesome the way it is. 

Penelope and I decided to go say goodbye to the fair today! We loaded up on sunscreen and put on our hats, and had a great time walking, watching, listening, and (me) explaining things to my little girl. She had fun, and she really loved seeing the dance performances and the country band! Our baby loves music, she's her Daddy's girl. 

Latest accomplishments: P can climb up on her chair, on the ottoman in our sitting room and onto another chair! It was terrifying to turn away, only to look back and see her balanced on the chair!! I rushed over and grabbed her, and have a stern, "No!"  We'll see how that goes.... :/ Penelope is so fast now, and I can't take my eye off her for a second... I can't wait to see how managing TWO is going to go!!!
