Day 289

Today was another challenging day for our little angel. :/ Before I go into detail, I can't forget to mention that we are less than a week away from going to the hospital for three nights, and I'm REALLY excited for it, but I'm also very, very torn, because I can't stand the thought of being away from my Penelope for that long!!! We've never been away from P for a whole night, let alone three.... We have a game plan though: Daddy will come home to see her as often as he can, and Auntie Anita will also bring her in a couple times. We aren't sure if it'll upset her more to see us, or not, but we do need her to know we're still there, and not gone for good!! Oh, it tears me up inside.... I'm sure it'll be fine, though. I'm hoping she's kept really busy with fun and playing with her cousin, that she forgets about us for a while. Once we're home, I'll be the happiest Mama in the world!! :). Ok. No more or I'll cry.

Today Penelope woke up in a crabby mood. We usually watch news in our bed for a bit, until we're both more awake and ready to be up, but today she wanted to go back to sleep after her diaper change, cup of milk and about 10 minutes of news. Fine by me!!! :) I put her down and she slept another hour and 15 minutes, which was heaven to me. I haven't been sleeping well these last weeks, so waking up at 6 am is the pits. We didn't do much until about 1pm, when P was so cranky, I just had to get her out of the house. It worked. We made a return to Babies R Us (dumb maternity back brace-- thing squashed my baby, and my back still hurts!!!) and P liked the car ride and being in her stroller. Once we were home, though, it was SO time for some Tylenol & a nap. She whined almost all through the day, so I know she's suffering. She's usually a happy baby! Also, I felt her gums, and I noticed a lump on her bottom right side, so I think it's molar time. :/

We're missing Daddy today, but we might see him tomorrow... Then after he works Monday, we have him home for a month (save for his teaching job a few hours on Tuesdays & Thursdays)! He'll be  on baby duty for a while, thank God! :) I don't know how single mothers do it... It's the hardest job ever, even with two parents! I'm lucky I have a partner who loves helping with everything, and knows how to change a diaper! :)

Here's a pic of P in a very tiny baseball hat. Cuuuuutie!!!! Night.
