Day 293

Well, it was another beautiful day in Southern California today! :) Even though I complain about the heat, I do love our gorgeous weather and how wonderful it is to be able to take Penelope out in her t-shirt and sandals still. We woke up around 7, and since Mama wanted more rest, Daddy and Penelope went to the park for an hour. I do love it when they do that!! I get to sleep, or sit in bed with my coffee and watch the news, waking up slowly. :) Love it when Papa's home! Later, we hung around the house, and P had a nice long morning nap. We took advantage of that and did some relaxing ourselves. We do so unapologetically, as Daddy was just at work for 3 days & needed sleep, and I'm just ragged in my 40th week of pregnancy! 

Daddy went to volunteer at the Mesa Verde Friends of the Library this afternoon, so P and I went to visit him and the nice ladies he works with. They are awesome, and even gave Penelope a cute book to take home. :) 

We're pretty much ready for our new family member to make her big debut, at home, we just have to get the house ready for Auntie to come now! I'll take tomorrow to give my Penelope extra hugs and kisses, because I won't be able to see her too much in the hospital. :( I packed a photo of her in my hospital bag, so I'll have her sweet face to look at when I miss her. We've been telling her about "baby sister" for awhile now, but I really think she's just going to be totally blown away by a new person in the house!!! I have such high hopes of them being the best of friends, and loving each other so much.... I know how awesome it is to have a built in best friend! :')
