Day 296

Well, today was another unique, fun day for Penelope. She is on day #2 of not being with Mommy & Daddy, and she is still doing really well! We are still at the hospital, and Luciana is doing really well. Meanwhile, Penelope is at home playing with her cousin all day long! Today, after morning nap, they came to the hospital to see us, and P seemed great!! She was happy to see us, but didn't seem phased by leaving after the visit was over. That's a relief, because if she would've cried, so would I. Aunt Anita took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese, and (I'm sure) they had a great time. 

Penelope surprises me each time we approach a new milestone: sleeping through the night and self soothing then and at naps, walking, eating solids, stopping bottle & formula, and now, being away from us. She just does what she has to without effort, it seems! Well... The sleeping thing took some time, but that's really it! 

Anyway, we are hoping to go home early-- tomorrow. If our pediatrician and my OB clears us, we'll be on our way! This makes me so excited... I'm still hobbling and in pain, but I'd rather be home with both our girls. We'll see. As for Luciana's blog, it'll begin once we're home; I'm unable to start a new blog from my phone, so I'll do so at home tomorrow (hopefully!) Pics are from Chuck E.
