Day 228

Penelope and I had a nice Labor Day together, just us for most of the day, since Papa was working. We were up before the chickens, and I was working on finishing some cards for Gayle. Once they were all ready, we dropped them off to her, and hung at her place for a bit. We went to lunch at Panera afterwards, which was fun, until Miss P got fussy. Always happens-- but it's to be expected near her naptime anyway, which is 3pm the latest. She had a great nap from 3-5 today-- I even had to wake her up!!!! That hasn't happened in forever! Down again at 7pm, and even though I put her into bed awake, she fell asleep without a peep! I hope hope hope she's learning, and that we won't have to worry about her once out new baby is here! :/

We are looking forward to a day with Papa tomorrow-- we're going shopping for Penelope's new big-girl room stuff (a rug, curtains, maybe bedding if we see some?) and I think we'll have it together by new week. Yay!! I'm hoping she transitions into it without fuss.... We'll see. :)

As for new baby-- she's kicking me all day now, and I can tell she is way more aware of our surroundings, reacting the way she does to light, noise and such. Time to get her space ready, and her clothes! I'm excited for P to have a sister, especially since I know how awesome it is. I hope they are as close as my sister and I are... From the beginning! 

That's all for today. It is late and I wanna go to sleep so I can wake up and see Daddy already. :) Night!
