Day 233

Well, another hot day and night... It's been a challenge getting Penelope to eat, sleep-- she's been so irritated by the heat & humidity. Last night she woke up four times... She was hot & sweaty each time, poor baby. :'( I have to remember that she may need more liquids throughout the night while she's sweating so much. It pains me so much to see her uncomfortable, ugh- so hard. 

Today we left the house as soon as P woke up from her morning nap-- 11ish. We had to make a couple returns at Target & Ikea, and I ended up getting some other things that will be great in Penelope's room, including different curtains. I'm glad though, they're much cuter and more suitable for a big girl's room! :) 

After all our errands, we got home to a preheated oven house, I fed P some lunch and then looked at the clock: 3:45! I cleaned her up and tried to get her to sleep, but no dice. She wasn't having it, and so I just let her be up till bedtime, which after her milk & screaming in her crib (standing up) was only 2 hours away. She was fine without the nap and that scares the day lights outta me!!! I need her two naps a day! :) Oh well... Maybe it was just too darn hot in her room to sleep, it was 84 darn degrees inside at that hour. Yuck. 

Anywhoo. Baby is sleeping peacefully now & we're happy we'll be seeing Papa tomorrow. It's going to be a big day-- putting P's room together!! Yay! I'll post pics of it tomorrow night. Today's pics are of Miss P playing while she should've been napping. It was too hot for a shirt.
