Day 168

Happy 4th of July! Today we went to two BBQs-- one at our friends Will & Britt's, and one at our next door neighbors, the Fishers. Both were lots of fun.... The first one, Penelope was all smiles and laughs, being her friendly self with everyone. She got to crawl around and play and tasted honeydew and melon for the first time! Also cornbread, which she LOVED. That little girl was laughing all the way home, and when I put her down for bed right on time (7pm), we expected all the SUPER LOUD fireworks would wake her over and over, but she is still asleep as I type this-- at 11:02 pm!! She must have been real tired, because our second party spilled out of our neighbors' and in front of our house. There were about 50 people from our street in front, and still our baby slept. :) It was really nice to meet out neighbors, and so many have little ones! The fireworks were awesome, but I was just a little sad I couldn't show P all the pretty lights. Next year, maybe! :)
