Day 171

Yay, beach day! We woke up pretty darn early (well, 7:30, felt early) and got the bikes & trailer ready for a ride down to Newport Beach for some breakfast with our friends Andrew & Bianca. We actually all rode together... Penelope took a much  needed nap on the way. We ate and spent some time on the sand-- Daddy did some body surfing and Mama just tried to keep Miss Busybody from eating handfuls of sand. :) The ride home was SO hot, we all jumped in the pool when we got home. Even Mama, who NEVER swims! :)

Later we picked up some new furniture for Penelope's new room, and a glider for our next little angel-- it was all free, from a nice family in our neighborhood: SCORE! This makes it nicer to spend on cute things for P's room, like a lamp, rug, toy box and decorations! We are also planning on painting her room a nice girly color, maybe orangy-pink or super light lavender? We'll see, but we are getting closer to the arrival of our new baby girl and we'll still need to clean P's old room really well and move Mama's craft room to the garage. I plan on beginning packing immediately. 

That's all for today... We have fingers and toes crossed, hoping that Daddy doesn't get called into work tomorrow-- we have more things planned! 

P.S. Penelope went to bed early tonight, she missed her last nap, so I'm hoping she does well through the night. We'll see! Goodnight.
