What a day! My Mama was still here from last night, so we woke up before Daddy came home and had coffee and played with Penelope. Then, a nice big breakfast! At 10:30 Tom and I took baby to her 9-month well check and for immunizations. She weighs 16 lbs, 2 lbs more than when she was 6 months, and she's 27" long, about 1/4" more than at 6 months. She did TONS of fast growing in her early months, and I think she is just slowing down a bit. Otherwise, she'd be as big as a 3rd grader by now! :) She received two immunizations and had her big toe poked for a blood sample. She did amazingly!!! Only cried for a moment, and then she was her happy self again!
Later, after Grandma Rose went back to LA, we met Grandma Gayle, Grandaddy & Lily for dinner. We found out (again) that we really need to have earlier plans if we can help it-- P gets tired at 6:30, and we shouldn't be at a restaurant when she begins to meltdown! :/
We had a fun day, and we get to have Papa home for one more day-- yay!! :) We really missed him this last couple of shifts...
