Another beautiful summer day for Penelope and I! Since Papa's at work, we slept in-- 8am! That's a treat when Penelope first wakes up at 6am full of happy energy! I gave her milk, and she went back to sleep. :) I don't feel badly since she really seems to benefit from the rest. After we woke up, ate breakfast and got dressed, I decided we'd go to the OC Fair! I really love going, just walking around, seeing, hearing and even some tasting! We watched two groups of young girls doing choreographed dances (very cute), and then watched a girl rock band while P had her lunch. :) We even saw some art in the big hangars there. It's good that it was just her and I, because for something like that, we had to be on our own time table. We had to make frequent stops, and leave as soon as she got tired/cranky. Mama got to eat a chocolate covered strawberry and brought home orange sorbet in a hollowed out orange! (Eaten while reading this evening-- YUM) We did tons of people watching, and P loved watching people play all the games-- we enjoyed ourselves! Daddy says he's glad I have a new "fair partner", so he's off the hook-- he doesn't enjoy the fair. Grinch! ;)
Later at home, P passed right out and had a nice almost 2 hour nap. I got to eat lunch and have a little quiet time. We had a nice day, but tomorrow is back to business. We have errands to run: pickups from cleaners and tailor, post office, groceries (just a few things), and cleaning the bathrooms. Can't wait until Miss P can help with that! Then Papa comes home... We are almost there. :)
Here are pics from today... Penelope's first fair day, 9 months old today!! Almost a year old....... I can hardly believe it. Just yesterday I was looking at T wishing we would have a baby, and look at us now! A whole new person in our lives, making it full, fun, hectic, silly, and overflowing with love. What an awesome kid to do all that!
