What a long day for both Penelope and I. We had a morning walk with some new friends to the park and ROASTED our buns off! By 11am, we were both beat. My mom came over at noon in order to sit with P while I had some dental work done. It took 4 hours!!!! P did good with my mom, she got sad after waking from her nap, though, and not seeing Mama. :( She and I are so super close, I know I was missing her just as much as she was missing me!! What can I say, we're besties! :) Later, we all had dinner together (P had a toasted bagel and yogurt-- she wasn't interested in much today since it was so hot) and we had leftover party enchiladas-- yum. Throw in a run to Target-- P lost the last of her binkies, and there goes our day!! I did find The Goonies at Target for $5, so we watched a little before turning in.
We can't wait for morning-- hopefully Papa comes home, if not for an overtime day. We miss him tons!
P has her 9-month well check tomorrow with Dr. Mendoza-- Dr. Lau is on maternity leave still-- so I'll have her new height & weight numbers tomorrow! :) She'll also have 3 shots... Mama doesn't like that. Penelope has more chunk on her legs now, so hopefully that'll help her out tomorrow!!
